Step away from that Christmas sweater. And don't even think about another basket full of soaps. I've got what you're looking for right here....a gift certificate for a 2012 photo session from Ryan Davis Photography.
A photo session will outlast any tin of stale popcorn, and bring a smile to your loved ones' faces for years to come, every time they look at the photos. So this Christmas give a gift that will bring back warm fuzzy holiday memories for years to come...not to mention you'll look like a hero compared to the guy that bought the fiber-optic mini-tree.
Gift Certificates are available in all sorts of denominations, and through Christmas receive a 25% bonus credit on top of your purchase. That means a $250 certificate (good for a full session with sharable lo-res files!) will only cost you $200. And who couldn't use that extra $50...enough to buy some cheese logs to stay on the good side of that neighbor you don't really like that much.
With just a couple clicks you can have the card delivered to your door guaranteed before Christmas, even if I need to bring it by in person (please have eggnog).

Emily & Mike | Rockford Engagement & Wedding Photography
Emily and Mike are getting married next fall in Rockford.(Can you guess the date? Answer below, ha.) We met last week at the Prairie Street Brewhouse in downtown Rockford for what was a very fun engagement shoot. Sometimes you can just instantly tell when a couple belongs together and that was definitely the case with these two...laughing, smiling, and even playing in the rainy fall weather. But enough talk, you came here for photos, so here they are:
Trivia Answer: 10-06-12. (Did you see it hidden in the photos?)

Marilyn & Al | Rockford Wedding Photographer
Two solid months on wedding weekends wrapped up with Marilyn and Al's wedding at the Clock Tower Resort & Convention Center, which is fast becoming one of my favorite venues for a ceremony with its gorgeous light and open atrium. Combine it with the gorgeous fall colors we have every autumn around the Rockford area and some sprinkle in some unseasonable warm temps, and you've got a recipe for great locations. But venues and locations dosn't make a wedding, people do, and Marilyn and Al are some great people.

I have known members of Al's family for a long time, so I knew going in that this was going to be loads of fun. What I didn't expect was such an emotionally charged ceremony. I have photographer a lot of weddings (and even performed the ceremony in a few) but rarely have I heard such heartfelt, thought out, meaningful vows. Let's just say I'm glad my camera is weather-sealed. Ha!
Now on to the photos...
